PicPlz Photosharing
2012
UX design for PicPlz — a photo-sharing platform with native iOS and Android apps, operating in the early smartphone photo-sharing space that would later be defined by Instagram.
Designed new feature areas including photo search, collections, and the mobile sign-up flow — each focused on reducing friction at the moments that determined whether a new user stayed or left. The sign-up flow in particular was treated as a first impression of the product's character: fast, simple, and visually confident.
The work spanned both mobile app interfaces and web UI, contributing to a cohesive cross-platform experience that matched the quality of the photo effects the product was known for.
