Google Glass Project
2016
Designed one of the first consumer applications for Google Glass — an augmented reality running companion built for Strava, selected as an official Google demo product at launch.
The project required establishing a UX framework for a genuinely new interaction paradigm: a heads-up display worn during physical activity, operated by voice and head gestures, with no hands free and no time to think. The design prioritised the three metrics that matter most to a runner mid-effort — pace, distance, and time — surfaced with minimal visual complexity and zero interaction required.
The work became a foundation for Strava's broader wearable and companion device strategy, informing the design patterns used across subsequent integrations with smartwatches and third-party fitness hardware.
