Eye Tracking Study

2008

Research lead for an eye-tracking study conducted for the University of Michigan's Center for Health Communications Research — evaluating the usability and effectiveness of a digital smoking cessation programme.

Responsible for study design, software configuration for non-intrusive eye gaze tracking hardware, and statistical analysis of where and how participants attended to key content and calls to action. The findings provided evidence-based recommendations for interface improvements aimed at better supporting behaviour change outcomes.

The project deepened practical expertise in formal usability research methods — from controlled study setup through to quantitative analysis — informing a more rigorous approach to research on subsequent design work.
